Here's a thread about Doctor Who Series 8 for TK if you like

It was very good, IMO. I don't mind Danny Pink so much, maybe the character will become more interesting.

Lives in a barn?

Tell me the doctor wasn't born in a manger.

Would you really be surprised it that turned out to be the case? How many other allusions to Jesus Christ as the Doctor been the subject of? Not that I've been on the lookout for them, but it wouldn't surprise me if somebody has, and has racked up a baker's dozen of them.

Meh, I'm not so much a fan of the character. It's like they're trying to build a character who's Rory Williams Plus to go with "bossy control freak" Clara, which is turning her into Amy Pond, Rather Shorter Brunette Edition.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't be.

But I doubt they would have the balls to do it.

Oh, I'm quite sure they've got the balls to do it. What I'm on the fence about is whether they've got the brains to do it in a really clever way. And I'm rather in the 70-to-80%-sure range thinking that they do.

But I like that they made Clara the "being who stands outside time and watches over everyone throughout time and space."

Because I'm sure I'm not the only one who figured out that that's who it was.

Well, that was pretty flat and mediocre. I'm sure they've done the "the alien wasn't really evil, just in love!" ending about eight times before (just last year in that episode with Jessica Raine springs to mind) and the "they're not really dead, just teleported!" thing was pretty obvious since I know a teleportation effect when I see one! Clara looked hot in the suit (but didn't do much) and Capaldi was good in the private vault scene ("shuttity up up!") and the other characters were okay and I liked James Marters' photo cameo...but pretty meh on the whole.

I'll see your mediocre and raise you shit.

Ironic that a show that features memory worms would be so instantly forgettable.

This writer always provides horrible who scripts, why do they keep hiring him?

Also, I figured out who Missy is. She's a self-generated personification of the TARDIS, and "Heaven" is a room the TARDIS created within itself that The Doctor doesn't know about.

Was the villain woman some famous soap person or something (or did she just remind me of soap person in Partners In Crime...)
