20/9/2007 I am the first one up, so a little piece and quiet, at least until the boy wakes up, and I am forced to put children's television on all day.
Got my copy of BSG season two in the mail today. I'm blown away by the difference from seeing it when I downloaded the eps. I didn't realise they'd directed it in such a classy way. Lay Down Your Burdens Part 1 started off quite melancholy with 20 minutes of fairly unfocused story and that plodding guitar music, but it looked so good. It was like eating a whole tub of smooth, juicy flavoursome ice cream. Fantastic. Now to go back to the overlit season one so I'm rewatching the eps in order..
I should rewatch season 1.. I love 33, probably my favorite episode. AND season 1 is when the Baltar and Six in his head relationship was the most fun.
Sept 20: It's storming.. hope lightening doesn't knock the power out.
The episode where Shelly Godfrey turns up and Baltar's standing next to her in CIC(Litmus?) is my favourite after 33. 33 really established the series and built some good foundations and I like the fact that they started the episode in the middle of the crisis, when most other shows probably would have picked up from right after the pilot, had them sailing along looking for Earth and then "oh no! it's the Cylon attack of the week!". Come to think of it, that's how the original BSG would have done it.
Oh yes.. I think it was Litmus. That one is a classic. Was that the same episode Head Six smashes his face into a mirror? Now I'm really wanting to watch the mini and season one again.
Sept 21:
OH I <3 the mailman some more
He brings me books galore
I'd like to spank him
instead I just thank him
and read all my books full of lore
^LOL! no, FUN poetry for the mailman! How much fun can his job be?
Sept. 21 -worked at the Sketchy Highschool today, BUT it was Friday and most kids were mellow - no police cars/ bomb squad (don't ask) , only one ambulance and one firetruck
